The FCC is organising an informal Round Table discussion on Afghanistan Today with a delegation of 12 visiting journalists and civil society activists from different parts of that country (see List below), now in India for a conflict mediation workshop.

The workshop was organised by the Mediothek Afghanistan, an organisation that has been engaged in the training of journalists in Afghanistan since 2002. Mediothek is also engaged in conflict-resolution and peace-building and has offices/Media Houses in Kabul, Herat, Kunduz, Mazar-e-Sharif, Kunduz, Jalalabad, Khost and Kandahar. It is also affiliated with a Media House in Islamabad.

The workshop was organised with the support of the German Foreign Office and with the help of Konrad Adenauer Foundation (KAS) and their media partner "The Statesman" as well as Ms Britta Petersen.
